Random render of the day - Mech Spider

Came across this unfinished model / concept built for a tank style mechanical spider I previously posted a few still images of a while back. I think it was built for a rts / isometric style game and intended to be animated and rendered as frames but never completed this version, rendered out the turnaround / still whilst playing around in Marmoset toolbag.

CG Modelling - Environment Props 2#

Another prop render for Halo 4,this one is the driver attachment which is used to bolt the Spartans suit pieces on.The driver is supported on the arm and can be automated or manually used and has three head attachments for the various bolt types. The model has some fairly complex parts (the main body being cylindrical to tapered and the front piece holding the drills in particular).

Mech Concept render

Another couple of  renders I finished up showing a mech concept I played around with, the model was built fairly quickly as I actually pulled the jaw bone from a T-rex skeleton I had built and added hard edges to the teeth to make it more metal looking.

sci-fi concept ship

Some more images from the last year.. This is a quick concept ship modelled in Maya for a game project,it was done fairly quick and loose based on a concept sketch I was given. The side boosters are pretty weak but I actually kind of like the bulky front part.

Low poly ship model

Quick look at a low poly model built midway through last year for use as a game asset in Heroengine, the single 1024x1024 texture map contained diffuse specular and normal mapping for the engine.

Random Render Of The Day

Some very quick textured/ renders of the buggy vehicle from my university VFX / game concept project, the models are pretty low poly and  took about 45mins max to make in Maya.I haven't UV mapped them yet but thought I would try some simple shaders.

Random Render Of The Day

Quick/unfinished concept model I built some time ago,I was going to add a character crouching behind the dumpster and destruction in the background. The scene was good practice for my final university project, modelled in Maya in about 6 hours.

Sci-Fi Mech Modelling scenes

Random render of the day...

Just a couple of quick renders of a mech car that appeared in my vfx final project, the original scene and models were never textured so I thought I would look at some of the objects and play around with different shaders and lighting. The Mech car took about an hour to model.

Mecha W.I.P

Work on my final university project is moving along, its a sci-fi/war sort of theme.Im trying to add loads of detail and keep the model clean and lowish poly, still have a lot to do including the main battle scene.

Loading dock and setting out for the battlefield.

Mech Wars

Final projects almost done, lot of modelling in a short space of time, inspired by everything from starship troopers, sucker punch to dune..renders are going and editing is up next.
