Surreal concepts

Back in 2nd year of university I did a surreal animation based on characters interacting,I came across some of the early concept renders on my hard-drive showing how the character would evolve over the course of the animation.In the initial concepts I planned on showing the character as semi transparent with moving pieces inside its body,the idea was inspired by HR Gigers design for 'species' where the alien Sil had translucent skin.

Been a bit slow to update recently,university degree show was up,hauling myself back to edinburgh and looming graduation.And then there was the website..I had to get myself a .com,couldnt resist and with that i spent the better part of a week trying every possible web building piece of software there is from the eyeball harrasing wix.com to nightmarish "saved by the bell" looking trendywebsite builder.Eventually found one that got the job done and now a work in progress..link coming soon!.

Random Render Of The Day

Back at the start of third year we had 3 one week animation projects to get us going,we were given a phrase and had to create a quick animation based on it.Mines was "if you cant ride two horses at a time don't join the circus", I changed it around a bit and turned the horse rider into a knife throwing clown.I built and textured the clown in 2 days for the scene and used "the setup machine" to rig him.

Render..Render..Render

Finally almost complete my castle model,its a bit of an epic fly through,the model is clean and smooth-able to within an inch of its life,I don't want to even say how many frames there are but I have taken over a university room for the weekend to get it rendered.Onto the next project..
