Banner Testing

Playing around with some of Facebook's page tools and making a banner video for my page. Also been  exploring Facebook's 3D images and how it might work with Unreal 4,so far I've managed to create some test's using depth visualization and screenshots which work but need so experimenting to get them working correctly.

Amityville - Sequencer Test #2

Another short test from the Amityville project. This was originally part of a much longer sequence, testing out various style and looks as well as hand animating the camera but decided to cut it together instead as a small teaser.

Amityville - Sequencer Test 1#

Experimenting with Unreal 4's sequencer for fun and decided to animate a handheld style footage shot of my Amityville house model. The static and screen effects are both built in and some additional work in editing, I plan to make a more complete tour of the house at some point in a similar style.

Amityville - Teaser

Spent an afternoon exploring with Unreal 4's sequencer and matinee, mostly just needed a break from modelling and wanted to use some of the tools I'm less familiar with.
I ended up putting together a little teaser video for fun in the editor, still a lot of progress needed on filing the house model with more objects. Also been testing out the latest preview version of Unreal, still seems to have a lighting bug unfortunately but new volumetric lighting looks interesting.

Jurassic Park Aftermath - Environment Showcase

With Jurassic World coming out next week I decided to put together some of the environments from my project into one video, the runtime was a little long so this mostly just covers the most complete interior areas so far.

Aftermath - Messing about in Cryengine

Quick video I made just for fun,the project I've been playing about with in my free time is set just a few days/weeks after the events of Jurassic Park but decided to try altering it to appear like a lot longer had passed.

Environment experiment

Quick experiment in Cryengine, was looking into environment animation and how I could to create larger scale elements (like having the trees pushed out of the way).Ended up using custom wind zones and animating a path through the jungle, the effect was interesting but not as precise as I'd hoped.

Dead Island 2 - E3 Trailer

The 2nd E3 2014 trailer I worked was Dead Island 2 for Axis animation. It was a fantastic project to be involved in,during my time on the project I worked on modelling/texturing of environments, vehicles and props throughout the entire trailer and saw it progress from the early stages to completion. It's been a great experience working in the studio and I know I would have loved the final trailer even it wasn't a part making it (was a big fan of the 1st trailer!).

Crackdown - E3 Trailer

This year I was lucky enough to be involved in two projects for E3 2014,the first being the trailer for an all new Crackdown game for Xbox One.I was involved in layout as well as a little modelling for the trailer,it was a great project to be involved with that has a really unique style, some fantastic use of colour and an epic finale.

"The long-awaited new instalment of a gaming favourite! Microsoft is bringing a whole new meaning to open world gaming and Axis has had the joy of bringing that vision to life in our brand new trailer for Crackdown on Xbox One.
The Agency is back and it's time to show what new tricks they have up their nano-tech sleeves. The reveals will blow you away.Director Stephen Donnelly worked closely with the Art and Design team on the game to create a unique visual style that’s simply stunning. This feast for the eyes will set your heart racing and move you to the edge of your seat as our highly choreographed chain of events unfolds and defies expectations.....
It’s bigger, it’s better and it’s new and exclusive for Xbox One."Copyright by Axis Animation & Microsoft.

A few months back I worked on a very cool project, after a long wait it's finally been released.Halo 4!.I worked modelling environments and props on the 'Spartan ops' cinematic mini series. Each week for ten weeks a CGI short movie kicks of new downloadable game content for the Xbox game starting this week with Episode 1: Departure. I'm in the process of updating my website so eventually I will collect together the scenes I worked on and post some more detailed information (as well as updates on a few more upcoming projects) but for now here's the first episode, the majority of my work on this episode starts from around the 3:50 mark.

Unity fantasy world update

Finally found some time to update this project, originally this environment was built fairly quickly using Maya and Unity 3D but my old laptop didn't run it very smoothly.I got a new rendering rig from pc specialist last month and made some changes and updated the map.You can still see in the later sections where the environment isn't finished and its missing a lot of bump maps but this was one of my first Unity environments I built just for fun and a challenge.
Check it out in HD if you can...
